Lets Meet Our Teacher Ms. Clanton
My name is Sharlyn Clanton and I would like to welcome you to our first grade classroom. I am looking forward to a wonderful year working with all the families and our awesome first grade "Superstars"!
I am lucky enough to have a job that I always dreamed of when I was young. As long as I can remember I have wanted to become a teacher!
I was born on January 12, in Los Angles, California. I grow up in a very close family with loving and nurturing parents. I graduated from Montebello High School and went to a four-year college where I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Education. I then went to BIOLA University for an additional year for teaching Elementary School. I have been teaching for over fifteen years.
I know this will be an amazing year in first grade for your child. I feel that it is important to have a good partnership between home and school. This is the key element to a successful first grade year. By creating a classroom community where students feel safe and loved, they will grow in leaps and bounds. Together we will have many wonderful experiences and opportunities learning and becoming a classroom family. Now that you know about me, I can't wait to meet all the new students and families in our class! My door is always open and I would love to hear from you in the days ahead. Thank you for sharing your child with me this year!
